Have your say on the future of Supertram

Published: Wednesday, 21st September 2016

We need your feedback on the future of the Supertram and how its services will run in the future.

Supertram has been transporting local passengers and visitors to the region for over 21 years, connecting people to jobs, education, shopping and leisure in the city centre and beyond. As well as an important way to get around it has become part of our culture. It is now time to decide what happens in Supertram’s next chapter.

The day-to-day running and maintenance of Supertram is managed by an operating company (Stagecoach Supertram) that provide the services on behalf of the network owners (South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive). This all happens under a concession that will last for around 30 years, and is due for renewal in 2024.

This consultation is looking for comments and suggestions across Sheffield City Region to help us shape the future of the existing Supertram system. We want to know what you think about Supertram now, what you’d change or improve, and how it could fit with other transport.

Your feedback will help to inform our recommendations for tram services and investment in the network for future generations.
